This is an original hand formed metal wall sculpture that was designed and built by me, Richard Walker. I put an enormous amount of time and effort into these pieces to make sure that they are the finest sculptures that are available anywhere. Each piece is completely hand cut and precision welded. As you can see, they are three dimensional. These sculptures stand off of the wall and are designed to allow light to pass through them. Another thing you will notice is the finish. Only the highest quality paints are used. All the colors are custom mixed and can not be found anywhere else. Hours are spent painstakingly hand polishing these pieces to a mirror finish. The depth and clarity of these finishes are unbelievable. When you take a close look at these pieces you can see how all the time, effort, and high quality materials make these pieces stand apart from all the rest. This is one of my most popular abstract metal wall art designs. It is part of my moonscape series. I start out with a precision cut circular piece of stainless steel. I then weld together a stainless steel round bar framework on the back side. The framework gives this piece rigidity and allows it to sit about 1.5 inches from the wall. You can see the loop in the center of the piece in the first photo. When mounted on the wall the wall mount is hidden.

Once everything is welded together and all the welds are smoothed, I hand texture the upper portion of the piece. The lower portion is coated in a high gloss black finish before the entire metal sculpture is coated in multiple coats of automotive grade clear paint. After curing, the paint is then polished to a near mirror finish in a 4 stage process.

The textured stainless steel upper portion has great depth and is designed to catch light. This piece is available up to a 24" diameter size. I have also built a lighted version of this piece. Metallic blue versions of this design have also been built.
